According to Dainik Jagran's collaborative publication Naiduniya, a total of 23 soldiers have been martyred. A total of 23 bodies have been removed by Sunday afternoon. According to Naiduniya, Bijapur SP Kamalochan Kashyap has confirmed this. The bodies of the martyred soldiers have been found close to the village and in the forest. DGP DM Awasthi has informed Naiduniya that two bodies have been exhumed and 20 bodies are on the spot.
